I am thankful that God gave me the courage to pursue advanced education through this MSN program. I have lost all interest in going back to school, but the current economy and political climate in the entire nation and the world made me realize that I can contribute to the growth and development of nursing by investing in myself through education. I was so nervous when I started this MSN program because I was working full-time, and time management was a big challenge. Reflecting back on this first course, I have learned many things.  I manage my time better overall. I was very concerned about going back to school while working full time, but I have made the adjustment well. The weekly schedule of the class fits well with my work schedule. I have met my goals for this course which included learning to navigate the learning portal and mastering APA format, as well as applying what I have learned to my current nursing role and future roles. As the class progressed, I continued to learn more tricks to the portal, available resources, and APA formatting as I utilized different kinds of sources. My next steps are to apply what I have learned to my future classes and continue to learn how to write better papers. Professor Escobar Indeed the course time went extremely fast, and I believed that the material that we covered in this section so far are relevant and current for advance practice nurses for it gave us a stronger voice in advocating and lobbying for better quality health care for all. I had an amazing experience so far since I started my journey with a master’s degree. The American Association for Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN), and National League for Nursing (NLN) are the three professional nursing organizations that have the greatest influence in expanding the scope and impact of advanced nursing. The first organization is NLN, which focuses on maintaining nursing excellence and recruits members from the nursing community. It encompasses this by assisting advanced registered nurses in their professional growth. This is accomplished by overseeing the organization’s testing programs, research findings and member education materials. Furthermore, by overseeing their practice and accreditation requirements, the NLN directly affects the range of nurse educators (National League of Nursing, 2020).

The American Association for Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is the second organization; it is a national agency whose main duty is to raise the standard of academic nursing. By encouraging advanced nursing practice, research and instruction, it achieves this. This organization sets the quality standards for nursing education and help nursing education institutions put them into practice with the goal of enhancing health care in general and nursing care delivery in particular. Furthermore, according to the American Association for Colleges of Nursing (2023), it promotes professional nursing practice.

Through constant renewal and revision of its goals and methods, the NLN has maintained its relevance throughout its lengthy history. These steps guarantee that the organization will continue to be relevant in terms of developing, extending and upgrading the nursing services it provides, all the while assisting in the delivery of high-quality nursing education (National League of Nursing, 2020).

The NLN and my concept of care are compatible. The organization has changed constantly over the course of its lengthy existence in order to stay relevant. It is my belief that the nursing profession is consistently changing and can always be improved. Because of this, I am receptive to learning new things and experiences. As the nursing profession grows, I may still experience professional progress by participating in discussions, learning new things, and contributing to practice improvements since i have access to a wide network of nurses and other stakeholders. The organization also provides access to up-to-date evidence that improves my practice, as well as possibilities for research and teaching. Because of this, the association offers a wealth of tools that nurses can utilize to advance their professional practice, knowledge, and abilities.
