Assessment Description
The purpose of this assignment (noncredit) is to submit your Final PICOT-D for your Direct Practice Improvement (DPI) Project to be reviewed and approved by the college. This will be the final approved PICOT-D to be used in your DPI Project. There will be no further changes to the PICOT-D statement after receiving written approval from the DNP team. If you do have to change your PICOT-D statement, you must work with your current course Instructor to review and approve any possible changes and your Instructor must notify the DNP Program Lead for permission to make any changes. Making a change to your PICOT-D statement past this date will lead to a delay and your and success in this program. There must be a significant and valid documented reason to change this PICOT-D statement going forward.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
- Doctoral learners are required to use APA style for their writing assignments. The APA Style Guide is located in the Student Success Center.
- This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
- You are not required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.
- Utilize feedback received on prior PICOT-D Question Submissions (DNP-801A, DNP-805A, and any previously given in the DNP-815A course).
- You are required to use your GCU email address when communicating with GCU systems and to always to include your current faculty. Most of the systems you will submit work to going forward may not recognize your personal email and send your emails to a junk mail folder, and you may not be aware of this.
Directions:
- Using the “Final PICOT-D Question Template,” submit your final PICOT question for college review to the assignment dropbox.
- Submit your final PICOT question to PICOTDNP@gcu.edu using your my.gcu.edu email only, and CC your faculty member.
- Upload only the completed “Final PICOT-D Question Template.” No other documents will be accepted.
- The “Final PICOT-D Question Template” must be saved using this format: Learner first name.learner last name.course#.date.doc. Example: Mary.Smith.DNPXXX.XX.XX.2020.doc (if not labeled correctly, this submission will be not be reviewed and will be returned to you).
- Failure to submit this document can result in failing the course, late assignments are not accepted for this submission.
- After you have obtained approval, you are required to submit that approval into each DNP course moving forward as proof of your PICOT-D approval.
