A hypothetical situation prompted by my place of employment involves point-of-care (POC) technology. POC technology refers to devices that are intended to be used at the location where patient care is being delivered. Nurses are making use of a variety of new point-of-care technology to provide higher-quality treatment for their patients. In this scenario (during an emergency code), is necessary that all vital sign machines be outfitted with point-of-care (POC) technologies, which enable nurses to scan patients and transmit the data that is collected.
