What Motivates You to Become or Stay Healthy?
The definition of health and wellness varies significantly between individuals. While health can refer to the absence of sickness, wellness can refer to a state of health that is holistic in nature, embracing mental, emotional, spiritual, and even social dimensions. Consider your own health. Do you consider yourself to be a healthy individual? If so, what inspires you to maintain a healthy lifestyle? If you are not already, what would motivate you to become one?

Part 3 – The Following Steps
Balancing School and Life — My Self-Care Plan for Improving My Quality of Life. The objective of this Plan is to establish a framework and a strategy for achieving and maintaining wellbeing, as well as for remaining motivated and involved during your Program. This will assist you in achieving success both academically and as a professional nurse.
The Project’s objective is to help you develop self-awareness and reflection in order to create specific self-care practices that will boost your energy and assist you in managing your stress. The Project will teach you how this is performed, as you will be performing similar work with clients throughout the Program and assisting them in the same manner as a professional nurse.

Note: When you are finished besides submitting your plan, be sure to put the Plan where you can see it to remind you to continue to reflect on how you are doing and to motivate you to use the self-care strategies.
Use the Quality of Life Self-Care Wheel Plan for Intention and Action to make your intention (commitments) to take action throughout your Program to stay balanced. Re-assess your scores and write them into this Plan. Then make your intention and identify at least one action for each that you know you can maintain throughout your Program and even as a practicing nurse. Identify any new strategies that you think will “fit” better than what you have been doing and describe why.
