Recognize your assets.
It’s human nature to want to improve one’s flaws. Knowing your strengths and how to use them effectively, on the other hand, can have a far greater impact on your performance and well-being. So, what are some ways to reframe your thinking?

Positive psychology, according to Deb Levy, provides numerous valuable tools. One in particular, the VIA Institute on Character’s Character Strengths Test, might assist you in determining your strengths and shortcomings. The exam rates users’ character characteristics from strongest to weakest, giving you a clear picture of where you shine and where you need to improve.

You can play to your strengths once you’ve identified them. However, it’s equally crucial to understand that some strengths must be tempered.

“Every strength becomes a deficit if it is overused,” argues Levy.

Someone with a high sense of humor, for example, might make an insensitive or inappropriate remark that could harm relationships.

Making a strategy to strengthen weaknesses while maintaining aware of strengths might be an excellent way to achieve not just academic success but also personal fulfillment.
