Assessment Description
Applying a model or framework for change ensures that a process is in place to guide the efforts for change. In 500-750 words, discuss the model or framework you will use to implement your evidence-based practice proposal project. You will use the model or framework you select in the Topic 8 assignment, during which you will synthesize the various aspects of your project into a final paper detailing your evidence-based practice project proposal.
Include the following:
- Identify the selected model or framework for change and discuss its relevance to your project.
- Discuss each of the stages in the change model/framework.
- Describe how you would apply each stage of the model or theoretical framework in your proposed implementation.
- Create a concept map for the conceptual model or framework you selected to illustrate how it will be applied to your project. Attach this as an appendix at the end of your paper.
Refer to the “Evidence-Based Practice Project Proposal – Assignment Overview” document for an overview of the evidence-based practice project proposal assignments.
You are required to cite minimum of four peer-reviewed sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and nursing content.
Complete the “APA Writing Checklist” to ensure that your paper adheres to APA style and formatting criteria and general guidelines for academic writing. Include the completed checklist as an appendix at the end of your paper.

A Sample Answer For the Assignment: NUR 590 Discussion: Incorrect Framework Creating bias in research
Title: NUR 590 Discussion: Incorrect Framework Creating bias in research
The levels of evidence that are also referred to as the hierarchy of evidence plays a role of providing guidance when carrying out research studies to facilitate the possibility of delivery of reliable answers to specific clinical questions. There are multiple hierarchies of evidence in intervention questions with the suitability of each level depending on research or clinical question that forms the focus of the study (Tejada et al., 2020). When looking for evidence-based information, it is imperative to select from the highest hierarchy possible, which often consist of meta-analysis or systematic reviews.
There are various levels of evidence that are found within research and practice. They consist of meta-analysis which applies quantitative methods in the appraisal of result, systematic reviews which involves systematic search and analysis of the medical research by the authors in regard to a particular topic. The other level is randomized control trials, which involves selection and inclusion of randomized groups of patient into control and experiment group. Case-control studies on the other hand is a level of evidence that requires involvement of patients with outcome of interest and control patients with divergent outcome with the primary focus being determination of exposure of interest. Expert opinion is also another level of evidence that utilizes generalized information regarding a condition in question from handbooks, textbooks, and encyclopedias. The other level of evidence is lab studies that offer information after conducting laboratory tests. Essentially, levels of evidence are important in research and practice in providing guidance in conducting research by assisting researchers to determine the appropriate evidence to rely on (Tejada et al., 2020). However, researchers should be cognizant of factors such as quality of research due to their potential in influencing the value of the existing evidence.
