Title: NRS 430 Discussion: Strategies to Support the Completion of BSN

I have decided to complete my BSN because I want to continue my education and get a higher degree. After completing my BSN I will enroll into a FNP program hopefully here at GCU. My main con

cern with finishing my baccalaureate is based out of finances. My ADN was very expensive and I still have loans for them. So far most of my BSN has been paid in cash but I will not be able to do that for long. I will need to get loans for the remainder of the degree. That wasn’t my goal but I know it will pay off in the end.

To become a successful student one of the most important things would be having faith and knowing that with God and a positive and faithful attitude anything is possible. Some things will come with challenges but when placing things in Gods hands that gives him the opportunity to work and change things for us (Moore, Haan, 2022). Becoming a successful student will require discipline in focusing on the task at hand. For many of us it is easy to get distracted. As adults we have many responsibilities and tasks that need to be done. Focusing on-one thing at a time will help to minimize distractions and help get things done (Murphy, 2015).

Title: NRS 430 Discussion: Strategies to Support the Completion of BSN

Completing my bachelors in nursing has always been my next big move for the past few years. After migrating to the US,I noticed that achieving my BSN  would definitely open many doors for me. Continuing education is paramount for career advancement and providing optimum patient care.  According to Stevens, K. R. (2013), the EBP,evidence based practice  is the foundation on which quality improvements are made, thus directly impacting patient outcomes, Stevens, K. R. (2013). It would by no doubt broaden my nursing knowledge and sharpen my skills by applying evidence based both on paper and in real life situations. According to Brower & Nemec, 2017,  proper understanding of EBP and its influence is critical for nurses to make decisions that fully impact patient care; therefore, it is evident that scholarly writing influences the nursing profession.(Brower & Nemec, 2017).

Becoming a successful individual whether student or nurse one must be willing to put in the effort, be self motivated, maintain positivity and integrity. As a nurse, I have to admit that maintaining integrity is a core value and is truly important. It displays and promotes behaviours consistent with successful . According to Falkner (2018),the issue of integrity is central to the world of nursing.  (Falkner, 2018).
