NR519 Module 5 Collaboration cafe and reflection

NR519 Module 5: Collaboration Cafe (graded)

Across healthcare settings, an increased incidence of complex disease and disability creates unique needs for care delivery. The advanced practice nurse plays a critical role in optimizing health outcomes for individuals with complex health concerns through holistic, interdisciplinary approaches to care. Through collaborative practice with interprofessional colleagues and community partners, strategies can be implemented to support the health and well-being of individuals with complex health concerns. With learning from Module Five regarding the musculoskeletal system in mind, respond to the following: • Describe a scenario including an individual with a disease, genetic disorder, or disability involving the musculoskeletal system. • Discuss how the MSN-prepared nurse can collaborate with interprofessional colleagues to optimize health outcomes. Provide an example that applies to your scenario. • Explain how competency in advanced physical assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology contributes to interprofessional collaborative practice. Provide an example to illustrate the impact of advanced competency. NR519 Module 5: Reflection: Part 2 (graded) Due 08/05/2022 Based on your response to Reflection: Part 1, state one insight that you gained regarding the concepts in this module. Connect learning achieved to a minimum of one course outcome addressed during this module.

Course Outcomes

• CO 1: Differentiate normal and abnormal assessment findings within the context of an individual’s cultural, ethnic and developmental perspective, in order to holistically appraise health status across the life span. (POs 1, 2, and 3) •

CO 2: Apply knowledge of advanced pathophysiology and pharmacology to determine variables impacting health. (POs 1 and 5)

• CO 3: Integrate knowledge of advanced health/ assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology to provide evidence-based, advanced nursing care and health promotion to individuals across the life span. (POs 1, 2, and 5) • CO 4: Demonstrate an understanding of the implications of advanced health assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology in advanced nursing practice. (POs 1 and 5) Module Objectives • Distinguish normal and abnormal findings in advanced assessment of the musculoskeletal system. (CO 1) • Relate the pathophysiological and pharmacological variables that impact health of the musculoskeletal system. (CO 2) • Apply knowledge of advanced physical assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology of the musculoskeletal system to advance nursing care for individuals across the life span. (CO 3) • Discuss the implications of advanced physical assessment, pathophysiology and pharmacology of the musculoskeletal system for advanced nursing practice. (CO 4) THIS IS WHAT I POSTED FOR PART 1 In this module, I am looking to forward: • CO 1: learning the difference from normal and abnormal assessment findings within the context of an individual’s cultural, ethnic and developmental perspective, in order to holistically appraise health status across the life span. • CO 2: Learn how to apply the knowledge of advanced health/assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology to provide evidence-based, advanced nursing care and health promotion to individuals across the life span. • CO 3: Learn how to integrate knowledge of advanced health/ assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology to provide evidence-based, advanced nursing care and health promotion to individuals across the life span. • CO 4: Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the implications of advanced health assessment, pathophysiology, and pharmacology in advanced nursing practice.
