Organizations can identify bottlenecks from the root cause analysis and adopt responsive strategies to improve performance and competitiveness (Stanley et al., 2022). Root cause analysis mitigates risk by ensuring the organization remains ahead in preventing factors that increase the potential of adverse events in the organization. It also streamlines organizational systems and processes for enhanced safety and quality of patient care.
