The occupational therapist consulted me on the best treatment plan for the patient since they had tried several medications but the patient’s condition was getting worse. I advised the occupational nurse to interview the patient more on the types of medication he was taking, lifestyle and history. It turned out that the patient was using cyproheptadine for allergies, from previous diagnosis which made it difficult for him to reduce weight.  Without consultation and working together, the patient could not have been helped.
