Technology introduced different resources in the healthcare delivery processes. Databases and other technological applications are currently used to enhance the management of patient’s data and to facilitate research and evidence-based practices. Besides, informatics models, tools, and data applications have become common terminologies in health informatics (Robinson et al., 2020). Informatics models and data are commonly applied in the quality improvement processes in the delivery of healthcare services (Plaza et al., 2020). Reducing healthcare acquired infections is one of the major healthcare issues where informatics models, data, databases can be used.
Literature Review
Databases are commonly used to capture and store data for use in the analysis of trends. Through the use of databases different healthcare organizations have been able to determine the trends in the levels of healthcare acquired infections and the strategies that can be undertaken to enhance improvements (Antonacci et al., 2018). The topic of the presentation the analysis of healthcare acquired infection and determination of trends and approaches that can be used to reduce the ever increasing cases. Through the analysis of data kept in the databases, healthcare informacists are able to develop algorithms to show the actual procedures or processes that can be undertaken to ensure general quality outcomes (Niñerola et al., 2020).
Analysis of Intervention/Model
Effectively configured databases can be used to produce models to show trends in the level of healthcare acquired infections as well as the trends these trends can be utilized to ensure quality outcomes in the healthcare delivery processes (Coles et al., 2020). The data is important in in analyzing the rates of healthcare acquired infections. The knowledge of nurse informaticists can also be applied in the processes of data analysis to reveal the trends or the rates of healthcare acquired infections. The conference will involve American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
Conclusion
The application of data will reveal essential outcomes required in the understanding of the trends in the healthcare acquired infections. The information obtained can be applied in the quality improvement processes and to enhance effective patient outcomes.
