The article shows that interventions by case managers provide positive outcomes for the patients. According to the study outcomes, case management resulted in improvement in measures of quality in patient care that included self-care activities, wellbeing and quality of life. The review of literature in the article also revealed that case management reduces the cost of care for the patient and health care organization. The reduction in cost in turn improves the quality of care provided to them. Case management also promotes patient-centered care.
