Academic Resource/Strategy 2: Library

The library is the second resource that I will use for academic learning at this institution. Walden University’s central library provides learners access to relevant books, articles and journals. The library’s central database is accessible from any part of the institution and has different databases relevant to advanced nursing education. The development of knowledge and networking opportunities are essential components in the MSN program. The relationship between professional practices and scholarly ethics is one of trust. Professionals are entrusted with their clients’ welfare and must act in their clients’ best interests. Scholarship also relies on trust, but between different scholars. When new research is published, it is built upon the existing body of research. In order for this to happen effectively, scholars must be able to trust that the work of others is accurate and reliable. It is essential that students maintain the highest standards of integrity and ethics in their academic work. To help ensure this, there are few recommend a few key strategies. As a student of the MSN program, I will proofread my work carefully before submitting it. A great tool for this is Grammarly, which can help identify any potential errors in my writing. Second, I will use proper citations when referencing someone else’s work. This not only gives credit where it is due, but also helps to prevent accusations of plagiarism.
