I plan to give examples of how culture plays a major role in health literacy. The importance of cultural competence for healthcare professionals and how it can affect the care a patient receives, and the outcomes of interventions offered. I will provide scenarios to demonstrate how language can interfere in effective communication. Also, how world views and other cultural traits play a role in health literacy.
