ENGL 105 Unit 1 – Discussion Board

My name is Chukwudi Declan Onyekwere. However, my friends and acquaintances call me Chucks, which is the shortened form for Chukwudi, and I like the name.  I have over three years’ clinical experience as registered nurse in the United States. I come from Nigeria and I like being in the United States as well as working as healthcare provider. I am excited to be part of this class and my proudest moment remains my enrollment in this program to improve my nursing skills and competencies. The attainment of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) will be my greatest moment as this will open a new page in my life by providing more opportunities to be an accomplished healthcare provider (Jolley, 2020). I also long for interactive sessions and relationships with different members of this class to enhance my career and professional development that includes attaining a specialty as a family nurse practitioner.

The unique aspect about me is my inquisitive nature and the urge to explore new knowledge and ideas in nursing. I love nursing as a

profession as it is interactive and rewarding, especially when one can make profound changes to the way of life of an individual. I love diversity and having divergent opinions and perspectives on issues as that allows one to understand their different approaches to issues and aspects affecting the delivery of care interventions to different patients and health populations. My advices to my classmates is that one should remain focused on what they want to attain in this program. I know that this program provides an opportunity for all students to explore and make self-discovery that is critical to developing a positive self-awareness and nurturing critical values in health care provision and society at large like honesty, respect, integrity and building trusting relationships and leadership attributes (Groot et al., 2022).  The course outline has many areas but an area that I look forward to learning more about is inter-professional collaboration and its impact on quality care delivery where all providers work together for the common good of patients.

Additionally, please review the course outline and share with your fellow classmates at least one area that you are looking forward to learning more about.

Your introduction should be a minimum of 100 words.

You may also upload a picture by clicking on “Post File” when you respond to the Discussion Board. JPEG images work well, but it will accept other formats, too.
